Navigation and Searching

There are few links on this web site, really just the ones you see on this page. For all other information, and there's a lot of it, you must find it using the search facility located at the top right of this page. Remove the ABC... and type your search query.

There are two types of search you can do.

Basic search

To do a basic search simply type some words into the search box and choose "exact", "all" or "any" (the default) where:

• Exact: Find pages which contain an exact match to what you type in the box.

• All: Find pages which contain all of the search words but anywhere in the page.

• Any: Find pages which contain at least one of the search words.

Advanced search

Very similar to a basic seach but with two important additions:

• Phrases: You can include double quoted phrases as well as single words.

  The following example finds pages which contain the phrase "wedding photography" and/or the single word "surrey" depending on your selection of "exact", "all" or "any":

  "wedding photography" surrey

• Negation: You can exclude words and double quoted phrases from a search.

  The following example finds pages which contain "kent" and "photography" but not "portrait":

  kent photography   -portrait

I add more wedding and photography related information and articles as and when I can. If there is something you would particularly like to see covered and a search has not revealed what you need, let me know. I can't promise to cover it straight away but then again...you never know!

Browser compatibility

Considerable effort has made this website look as near as possible the same on all web browsers you are likely to use. As of 31 January 2009 this website has been tested and verified against the following operating systems and browsers:

Unfortunately I do not own a Mac. All testing with Safari as been done with the Windows version.

My visitor logs show the vast majority (>90%) of visitors to this website use Windows/IE.

If you experience problems viewing this site I really do want to know and would appreciate an email. As a bare mimimum I will need to know:

Operating system: eg. Windows (XP, Vista, 7, etc), Linux (include distribution eg Fedora), Mac (eg. OS X), etc.

Web browser: eg. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, etc.

Web browser VERSION: eg 7, 3.2, etc.

The URL: Please specify the full URL of the page which has a problem, ie http://www........html.
