Parent and baby and parent and toddler photography in your own home
This is an example of a typical baby and parent photo shoot at their family home.
All the photographs shown are photos the client went ahead and purchased - so yes there were even more but the clients liked these the most.
So can you expect the same photos?
Yes and no.
As a parent of a young baby you will already be aware of how similar and yet how different your baby is to others such as those of friends and family or at parent and baby groups you might attend. Some babies are very quiet, some very active, some will happily lie on their backs playing with their feet, others will immediately roll on their front and try to crawl. Some will happily bat down a pile of toy bricks for a great action photo, others will sit next to a neat pile of bricks and look at you with an unimpressed "you must be joking" look. Some love the social interaction during a photo shoot and it is smiles all round, others make it their mission to try and pull my studio lights down.
They are all different!
You know your baby better than anyone else, you will know what baby likes to do and what makes baby cry.
As a professional portrait photographer, I know how to capture those ideas in a great photo, and I have lots of ideas of my own but I am always guided by what you think your baby will do.
